GF3 launch at Street Level Photoworks 15/05/14

Thank you to everyone who came down to the GF3 launch last night at Street Level Photoworks, and to Malcolm, Patrick and Donna for making it all happen. Special thanks to Kirsty Logan for reading her introduction - it really added something unique to the night. Our city is a really special and creative place, and it was great to celebrate that among friends old and new. Thanks!

Kirsty Logan

The introduction for Goose Flesh Volume 3 comes to you courtesy of Glasgow-based writer, Kirsty Logan. Kirsty is the Literary Editor of The List and is an award-winning, widely-published writer of short fiction and journalism.

Her first book, The Rental Heart and Other Fairytales, is out now: her second, The Gracekeepers, will be published in Spring 2015.

Kirsty will be reading her introduction at the zine launch event at Street Level Photoworks on Thursday 15th May, 7pm.

Goose Flesh #3 Exhibition & Launch Night

Goose Flesh returns in May with Goose Flesh #3, featuring work by Alan Knox, Kirsty Mackay, Claire Maxwell, Veronica Melendez and Kate Oldham. The exhibition and zine launch will be hosted by Street Level Photoworks at Gallery 103, opening on Thur 15th May, 7pm. Zines, prints, drinks, etc. Come on down!

2014 Frames Contributors

Here is a wee sneak peak at Goose Flesh’s contributors to 2014 Frames. These are artists who have been featured in past issues of Goose Flesh, or who are scheduled for the next issue.

I asked the photographers to contribute lone images, phone images, polaroids and other anomalies - photographs that don’t ‘belong’ to a finished body of work, or have not been widely shown elsewhere. We all have these images in our archives, and I thought 2014 Frames would be a nice place to show some of these isolated but beautiful photographs.

We hope you can make it along to CCA on 6 & 7 April and Merchant Square on 10 & 11 April to the work of these and many other talented photographers.
